The mission for Senior Lawyer: to assist the chief legal officer, the management, and operational teams to ensure that the activities across Mogo Finance Group comply with regulatory requirements and applicable national laws of the countries concerned To assist the chief legal officer, the management, and operational teams to ensure that the activities across Mogo Finance Group comply with regulatory requirements and applicable national laws of the countries concerned.

• Provide legal consultations, analysis and advice in full cycle of matters related to financial services and products offered by Mogo Finance group entities
• Ensure that all the financial services and products offered by Mogo Finance group entities comply with regulatory requirements and applicable national laws of the countries concerned
• Create and implement internal procedure (control mechanism) for compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting requirements to respective supervising authorities
• Provide legal support and ensure that services and product advertising comply with regulatory requirements and applicable national laws of the countries concerned
• Draft and revise different types of business cooperation agreements, as well as Draft and revise different documentation related to the financing of Mogo Finance group entities
• Monitor draft laws and changes in legislation in the field of competence and to coordinate actions required to keep group companies compliant, mitigate or eliminate risks
• Carry-out researches, risk analysis and provide legal advice on documents, procedures and activities and compliance thereof with applicable laws and regulations

• Masters degree in Law
• At least two-year experience in a legal position in an international company or a law firm 
• Excellent Latvian and English (verbal, written). Russian will be considered as an advantage 
• Strong business mind set and orientation towards the goal
• Good knowledge in general corporate and commercial laws, previous specialisation in financial services is a strong benefit
• Ability to proactively provide insightful and timely legal support to stakeholders across a functionally and geographically dispersed organization
• High level analytical skills, responsibility and stress resistance
• Ability to solve non-standard situations, set priorities and meet deadlines
• Accuracy, self-dependency and conscientious regarding the fulfilment on work duties by keeping focus on details

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in highly regulated consumer focused businesses (as an in-house or outsource counsel)
