We are seeking to appoint a Clinical Research Scientist (Neuroscience Specialist) to join our dedicated team in Manchester.



The focus of the role:

  • Perform administrative duties in conformity with company policies and procedures. 
  • To conduct collection of specialised pharmacodynamic data on studies running across all MAC sites and all phases of drug development as required. 
  • To support the Head of Neuroscience in the development, validation and execution of new techniques in support of studies running in MAC. 
  • To work as part of the clinical team to perform sleep studies on the sleep unit (including overnight as required). 
  • Conduct regular reviews of departmental documents, as necessary. 
  • Support other departments on ad hoc projects; and perform other tasks as needed. 

 

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as health care, physiology, neuroscience or psychology.  
  • Experience in some aspect of cognitive neuroscience research such as EEG or PSG is desirable. 
  • Independent and self-motivated with the ability to manage own time, prioritise workload and to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent computer skills including use of Microsoft Office. 
  • Excellent oral and written communicative skills. Fluent in oral and written English  
  • Excellent inter-personal skills. 
  • Able to proactively identify risks and issues. 


You must hold a full UK driving licence, and be available to travel at least 70% of the time (our sites are based across the UK and Scotland).
