Role Purpose

Direct Online Services is looking for a motivated and curious Cyber Security Apprentice to join our Technology team.

This role is designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career in cyber security while gaining real business experience across IT operations, systems, infrastructure, ecommerce platforms, data, security governance and incident response.

The apprentice will support the business in protecting our systems, data, customers, colleagues and digital platforms. They will work closely with the Technology team to understand security risks, improve controls, support day-to-day cyber operations and apply learning from the Cyber Security Technical Professional Degree Apprenticeship directly into the workplace.

The apprenticeship programme covers key areas including computers and security, programming, web development, operating systems, ethical hacking, network design, cryptography, cyber security management, advanced networking, malware analysis, secure coding and a final work-based dissertation project.

Requirments

The successful candidate must meet the apprenticeship entry requirements, including:

·        Full-time employment for the duration of the apprenticeship.

·        GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent Level 2 qualifications, before completion of the End Point Assessment.

·        A genuine interest in cyber security, technology and business systems.

·        Ability to commit to a 3-year degree apprenticeship programme.

The attached programme confirms that apprentices must be employed for at least 30 hours per week and must have Maths and English GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent before completing the End Point Assessment.
