The experienced 9amHealth founding team worked together previously to build a company that is now used by over 4 million people with diabetes worldwide, has more than 200 employees, and was acquired by Roche in 2017.

The Role


We are looking for a Product Owner with passion, an analytical and growth mindset, and of course really good organizational skills. Our new Product Owner should translate our strategic goals into actionable tasks and priorities for their team and align them with the other development streams. He/she/they should be able to scope out an MVP of an idea, check its performance, and base iterations and improvements on the learnings and metrics. We are searching for a team player, who likes to find the best solutions in collaboration with their whole development team.

Requirements

  • You manage and coordinate one of our cross-functional product teams, consisting of Designer, Frontend- and Backend Engineers, and Quality Assurance
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner/Manager
  • You are familiar with Scrum project management, methodologies, and tools (e.g. Jira or Asana), including backlog management and sprint planning
  • Experimental mindset: Something isn’t working, let’s try a new way! “Failing” is just another lesson learned!
  • You have a strong customer empathy and experience shaping products based on customer needs
  • You can work in a fast-paced startup environment. Previous experience working at a startup is definitely good to have
  • You are detail-oriented and data-driven. Your love to base your decisions on facts and numbers and like to dig into the data
  • You are an analytical and strategic thinker, with strong communication skills
  • You go above and beyond to identify the smallest, but a high-impact solution for any problem
  • You are able to work both with technical teams (engineering, QA) and commercial people (marketing, sales)
  • You are a hands-on doer who doesn't need to be told what to do, but who is proactively taking on what needs to be done
  • Good team spirit and keeping your team motivated are key to you! Celebrating even small achievements together is obvious ;)
  • You thrive to help our customers live a better life

The Product Owner position is a full-time position based in Vienna, Austria. Our office is in the heart of the city with tons of really nice (lunch) restaurants around.
