In a nutshell

Reporting to the VP Marketplace, the Regional Partnership Manager - Marketplace is a pivotal role responsible for sourcing a wide range of merchandise for our marketplace, catering to the specific needs of various clients, including major loyalty programs. This role involves identifying and partnering with Brands, Distributors, Incentive Houses and Retailers (in that order of preference) across multiple countries to ensure a comprehensive and appealing product assortment. The Regional Partnership Manager will negotiate the best pricing to maintain competitive margins, manage brand / distributor/incentive house/retailer relationships, support the Program Consultants with product sourcing, and ensure sellers provide an outstanding customer experience.

 


What you will do

  • Merchandise Sourcing:Identify, evaluate, and onboard merchants, distributors, brands, and resellers to build a diverse and competitive product assortment for the marketplace.
  • Source products across all categories, including gift cards, tailored to the specific needs of our clients and their loyalty programs.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Partnership Manager when pitching to brands directly in order to provide holistic opportunities for these brands to create value for them when utilizing our ecommerce platforms as a valuable media channel to support their strategic objectives, as well as enhancing the value proposition of our client’s loyalty currency / program as part of our Brands2Communities strategy
  • Pricing and Margin Optimization:Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing, ensuring competitive margins while maintaining product quality and variety.
  • Continuously monitor market trends and pricing strategies to adapt and optimize our sourcing approach.
  • Merchant Relationship Management:Develop and maintain strong relationships with merchants to ensure long-term collaboration and access to the best products and deals.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns with merchants, fostering a positive and productive partnership.
  • Support to Program Consultants and Sales:Collaborate closely with the Program Consultants to understand client needs, the member community’s DNA and source products that meet these requirements.
  • Provide expertise and support in sourcing to enable the Sales Team to pitch and secure new clients and projects effectively.
  • Seller Engagement and Customer Experience: Work with brands / merchants etc to ensure they are fully engaged in delivering an excellent customer experience, including timely delivery, easy returns, and high-quality customer service.
  • Implement and monitor standards and guidelines for seller performance to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of sellers across all categories to ensure the region is always fully stocked and ready to meet client demands.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and market shifts to continuously identify new sourcing opportunities and potential sellers.


What you will need

In addition to a "can do" attitude and solution-oriented mindset, successful candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within a marketplace or e-commerce environment.
  • Proven track record of successful merchandise sourcing, negotiation, and relationship management in the European market.
  • Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, customer needs, and product trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics.
