Lead/Senior Kafka Engineer (Permanent) [WS_KE_10.21.P]

Marionete is seeking a lead/senior technical architecture hands-on engineer with proven experience on large programmes with excellent English and client communication skills.

Our project team is currently starting a greenfield innovation programme of work for one of the world’s largest banking institutions. The team will be focused upon delivering mission-critical solutions for this tier-one financial institution, we now are looking to bolster our existing team with the expertise of an experienced Kafka Engineer.

Our client is a leading banking institution that is building and migrating to a new ecosystem in the cloud. The role sits as part of the core data and digital transformation team that is supporting a large infrastructure group in this programme.

As a Kafka Engineer, you will work with and lead from the front on behalf of the Marionete brand. You will be part of a large team that will interact daily with other developer teams, architects, and engineering teams along with other project staff that oversee the quality of work and aid the project to reach key milestones.

You will combine all your understanding of both development & engineering, coding, and consulting style to enable a positive impact on the project from day one.

You will work as part of a brilliant team, lead them in the delivery of excellent services and innovative solutions on behalf of Marionete.

Assist in and participate in Agile sprint cycles and work towards using Kafka, by approaching the challenge with a problem-solving attitude and collaborative team spirit identifying technical debt/problems, potential improvements manage expectations and delivering outcomes sought by our leadership team.

Proficiency within:

• Java

Location: preferably UK or PT, but worldwide remote work is possible.
