WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive strategy for seamless integration of aircraft into and out of Smartlynx Airlines.
  • Lead a team in managing aircraft transitions, encompassing Boeing 737 MAX, A320 series, and A330 aircraft.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of aircraft transitions, from planning and execution to post-transition evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.
  • Demonstrate an intricate understanding of EASA, FAA, and other national authorities' regulations related to aircraft transitions.
  • Ensure all transitions comply with global regulatory benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, lessors, and MROs to ensure transitioning aircraft meet and exceed industry-leading technical standards.
  • Facilitate the implementation of engineering enhancements during the transition process.
  • Utilize extensive experience in leasing operations to negotiate and manage relationships with lessors effectively.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with lessors to streamline the transition process.
  • Foster collaboration and communication across internal departments, external lessors, MROs, and regulatory bodies.
  • Act as a liaison between Smartlynx Airlines and industry partners, ensuring a unified approach to aircraft transitions.
  • Identify potential risks associated with transitions and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry best practices throughout the transition process.
  • Manage project budgets related to aircraft transitions, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial accountability.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations after each transition project, gathering insights for continuous improvement.
  • Implement lessons learned to enhance future transition processes.
  • The role is designed for full-time relocation or on a commuting basis to Riga, Latvia.


LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Business, or related field;
  • Proven experience in aircraft transitions, leasing operations, and project management;
  • In-depth knowledge of EASA, FAA, and other relevant aviation regulations;
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills;
  • Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record of effective budget management.
