Back up QA - Night Shift - Internal

SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance Inspector will test and inspect products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Compare parts with drawing/specifications or sample model to ensure completion, correctness and conformity.

·       Verify specified dimensions and characteristics using prescribed test equipment and procedures.

·       Inspect parts for structural flaws.

·       Identify rejected parts with prescribed methods.

·       Initiate incidents (NMR’s/Deviations) as required.

·       Assist in investigation of non -conforming parts.

·       Maintain records pf all defects and number of parts accepted/rejected.

·       Use statistical sampling plans when required to conduct inspections.

·       Assist in training new inspectors.

·       Responsible for general housekeeping of work area.

• Conform to the requirements of the quality and environmental management system

·       Familiarize yourself with a variety of processes to allow you to work across a number of product lines.

·       Additional ad hoc projects and duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

·       Ability to work as part of a team.

·       Common sense, dependability and attention to detail required.

·       Ability to follow established procedures.

·       Must be able to multitask and have a good sense of urgency (work efficiently in a fast -past environment)
