We are recruiting an experienced Management Accountant to join our highly successful team in our Head Office. This position has become available due to internal promotion and growth of the business. You will be an integral part of our team and provide an efficient, thorough and accurate support to the Finance Manager in creation of monthly accounts and all related processing activities.

The Role

  •   Preparation of monthly management accounts in an accurate and timely manner
  •   Calculation and posting of prepayments and accruals 
  •   Updating asset register monthly post depreciation journals
  •   Posting and reconciliation of intercompany transactions 
  •   Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  •   Review of nominal postings to ensure accuracy and make corrections as required
  •   Preparation of monthly reporting to management team
  •   Manage calculation of monthly payroll and commissions for all and process FPS for HMRC 
  •   Raise permanent sales invoices (approx. 50p/m) ensuring billing requirements are met
  •   VAT Returns
  •   Reporting and analysis as required for the business
  •   Assist with streamlining and improving of financial processes and provision of first-class customer service; internal and external

The Requirements

  • Significant Previous experience in a fast paced environment
  • Studying towards financial qualification. (ACCA / CIMA is desirable)
  • Excellent organisational skills to successfully manage multiple projects and work streams simultaneously
  • High level of numerical literacy and financial understanding 
  • Stakeholder management skills 
  • Forward planning to make decisions ahead of time to ensure potential problems do not materialise
  • Demonstrating flexibility in approach and going above and beyond when necessary to solve problems 
  • A collaborative approach, confidently working with colleagues, clients and candidates with a friendly and personable manner
  • Contribution of creative ideas to suggest ways of developing our offering to clients and candidates or improved ways of working internally
  • Excel experience essential
  • Payroll experience desirable but not essential
  • Take ownership of workload and have good time management skills
