Senior JAVA Developer

TWINO is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our team and help build, evolve systems that power real investment products used by customers in Europe.

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable server-side applications using Java and Kotlin 
• Collaborate with project managers, frontend developers, and DevOps teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions 
• Build and optimize database schemas, queries, and data access layers using JPA and Hibernate 
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services using Spring Boot 
• Write clean, self-explanatory unit and integration tests, clearly documenting system behaviour 
• Use Git for version control and collaborate through code reviews and shared ownership 
• Work with infrastructure and frontend teams to support CI/CD pipelines and smooth deployments 
• Stay up to date with relevant technologies and backend best practices 
• Maintain dependency security, addressing vulnerabilities identified by automated scanning tools 

• Comfortable working in an agile / lean environment (Scrum, TDD, pair programming, code reviews) 
• Strong experience writing automated tests (unit and integration) 
• Solid experience with Git and distributed version control 
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful and/or SOAP APIs 
• Experience working with Linux-based environments 
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and JPA 
• Familiarity with the following technologies: Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, JUnit5, Git, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, Graylog, PostgreSQL 
• Optional, but highly valued experience with modern web development technologies, including Angular and Bootstrap 
• Optional, but highly valued familiarity with the following languages and technologies: Kotlin, Groovy, Kubernetes, Prometheus. 
• Optional, but highly valued experience with AI tool integration in software development life cycle 
• Experience working in the FinTech industry is highly advantageous, as it demonstrates familiarity with the unique challenges and requirements of the financial technology sector
