Description

deVOL is a rapidly growing designer and manufacturer of high-quality kitchen furniture and we are looking for candidates to join ourĀ CNC machining department.


We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed individual to assist with the operation of our 3-Axis CNC machines. No prior experience using CNC machines is necessary but any experience of using CAD software and operating machinery within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.


Candidates should have an interest in furniture construction, a conscientious, methodical approach to work, and an eye for detail.


Machine-specific training will be given.


The main responsibilities will include:


  • Loading and operating various 3-axis CNC machines.
  • Preparing and restocking various sheet materials.
  • Organising finished work to be sent to relevant departments.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment.
  • Fitting the correct tools to active machines.
  • Setting up and calibrating tools as well as conducting scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Thoroughly checking parts and materials and cutting tools to make sure the end products meet requirements.


The position is based in Shepshed. The successful candidate would be working as part of a team alongside operators, programmers, within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:


  • Detailed oriented.
  • Hard working and self-motivated.
  • A team player.
  • Responsible and able to manager their work and time.
  • Interest or experience in furniture making or manufacture.
  • Experience in operating CNC (beneficial but not essential)
  • Ability to read technical drawings (beneficial)
