Who we are

Port of Aberdeen is Scotland’s UK’s biggest and busiest port, handling around 40% of the nation’s commercial vessel traffic across 7,600km of quayside.

Founded in 1136, we are the UK’s oldest existing business and know what it means to adapt and rise to the challenges of tomorrow. We are combining our rich heritage with a bold vision to become the UK’s first net zero port by 2040. Everyone at Port of Aberdeen has an important role in making this a reality.

We are a multimodal port at the heart of a major transport hub, supporting customers in oil and gas, renewables, cargo, cruise and ferries. Our transformational South Harbour development, completed in 2023, is attracting vessels and projects on a scale not seen before.

We offer world-class infrastructure with a strategic location and access to an expert supply chain. All with an uncompromising focus on safety, health, and quality.

Port of Aberdeen’s culture is built on empowering, investing in, and developing our people. It takes outstanding talent to keep the expanded port running safely and smoothly. We offer a wide range of roles from pilots to port operators, engineers to administration, HSEQ to HR and much more.

The port has been at the heart of city for almost 900 years and our purpose is to create prosperity for generations to come.
