About AIM and the role

AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group have an exciting opportunity for a Qualifications Assessment Coordinator (Maternity cover - 9 months).

 

Location: Derby office /Hybrid

Salary: £27,011 to £28,114 FTE (pro rata for hours)

Contract: Maternity cover - 22.25 hours per week

What you will be doing

Assessment Delivery

Develop and implement assessment schedules in accordance with AIM Group’s published timetables, ensuring assessors/examiners are in place when required

 

Implement procedures, including quality assurance activities, to ensure that assessments are delivered on time and marked accurately, fairly and consistently  


Implement procedures for recording, storing and maintaining confidentiality of assessment material in a timely manner 

 

 Administration and quality assurance

Support the recruitment of and the ongoing relationship with assessors, managing potential conflicts of interest associated with their work for AIM Group


Support the initial training, CPD and standardisation for assessors, thereby ensuring their competence to deliver valid assessment activities 


Ensure that assessment delivery is achieved using the appropriate in-house administrative tools (XAMS, Quartz, SharePoint etc.) which provide an accurate record of these processes 


Where required, coordinate and contribute to validation and approval panels which support the assessment delivery process 


Coordinate the production of Principle Examiner reports 


Organise, gather, produce and share all the relevant information for the delivery of Awarding Meetings 


Plan and deliver a programme of monitoring (MCQ) external assessment delivery, focusing on review of questions and ensuring the reliability of the assessment


Printing external assessments and ensuring they are checked and sent out correctly with all the required information/documents


Implement a system of monitoring the performance of assessments across cohorts of learners, to ensure consistency of demand, quality and reliability (paper based)


Attend reasonable adjustments and special considerations panel as required and process and review all reasonable adjustments and special considerations relevant to the assessment period to ensure that no learners are disadvantaged 


Ensure procedures are implemented and reviewed as required

 

Customer Service

Maintain positive relations with external providers of assessment-related services 


Ensure relevant documentation (new and revised) is issued to centres relating to external assessments 


Administer all post-assessment queries, and coordinate relevant AIM Group responses ensuring policy requirements are adhered to 

 

 

Who we are looking for

Experience of examination processes

Experience of maintaining an examinations database    

Knowledge of the Adult Education/and or Schools sector

Proven customer service skills

Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

Accurate and consistent record keeping
