  • You will perform daily management of SmartLynx Airlines base maintenance and service provider contracts reporting directly to the Managing Director;
  • You will perform commercial negotiations of all base maintenance contracts to deliver exceptional services for both on-time delivery, cost, and quality.;
  • You will closely with the SmartLynx Line Maintenance Manager and Planning Manager to deliver proactive base maintenance;
  • Support base maintenance spares budgeting to ensure all expected base maintenance costs for all base checks are budgeted for correctly;
  • Liaise directly with compliance and service provider to ensure all SmartLynx Airlines processes are followed to remain compliant and the service provider meets regulatory requirements;
  • Act as project focal for base maintenance inputs prior to induction to ensure pre-input and post-wash-up meetings are completed for each input;
  • Produce reports and KPI's for Base maintenance including presentation of final invoices for sign-off.


  • Ability to have commercial focus and understanding of Company business objectives;
  • Must be licensed B1 or B2 engineer; 
  • Must have a license on type for A320, A330, or B737Max;
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role;
  • Ability to work within and lead a team;
  • Excellent People management skills;
  • Ability to work within rigid timelines and budget;
  • Confident with strong communication and negotiation skills;
  • Flexibility with regards to working hours, responsibilities, and travel;
  • Willingness to embrace change and to drive improvements within the business.
