Manager of Vocational Services

Community Workforce Solutions (CWS)! CWS is a successful, private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) vocational rehabilitation agency with 60 years of dedicated experience serving persons with disabilities. We are currently seeking to hire a Manager of Vocational Services who will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all aspects of Vocational Services. This position will work as the primary liaison to referral sources, as well as market all vocational rehabilitation services programs and encourage program advancement. Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuring services are performed in the highest quality and most efficient manner consistent with budget.


  • Responsible for the supervision of the services, including; Rehabilitation Services, Skills Training Programs, Work Adjustment, Work Evaluation, program development, outcomes, marketing, and ongoing supervision and education of staff.
  • In consultation and coordination with others, compiles and analyzes data.
  • Formulates Vocational Rehabilitation policies, programs, and schedules, based on knowledge of identified training needs, business systems, or changes in programs, procedures, or services.
  • Responsible for developing budgets and consistently operating within that budget.
  • Ensure all billings are accurate and timely.
  • Responsible for maintaining all compliance components are met and assist with audits/reviews from CARF, and other oversight agencies.
  • Organizes and develops rehabilitation services best practice delivery systems, references, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials needed for the department to become successful.
  • Trains staff in best practices and completes comprehensive onboarding with all staff.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere.
  • Engage in partnerships, collaborations, and initiatives with internal and external entities that encourage inclusion and equality for individuals served and promote positive social change in alignment with the agency’s mission.
  • Engages in tangible, definable, mutually beneficial cooperative activities with other units within the Agency.
  • Directly supervises 8 staff and indirectly supervises all rehab staff.
  • Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or a very closely related field (e.g. Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Special Education, Communication Disorders, Human Services)
  • Current certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) is highly preferred.
  • Three to five years of related experience.
  • Supervisory experience includes supervision of five or more personnel including hiring, training, goal setting, motivation, job performance and assessment.


Physical Requirements:

The position is considered sedentary to light, requiring 50% sedentary and 50% mobility. Travel between multiple schools within the county. Lifting less than 10 pounds. Requires visual observation and the ability to communicate with a variety of individuals.
