The Ministry Host serves as the primary point of contact for guest group leaders, ensuring a seamless and Christ-centered experience at camp. This role works intentionally to eliminate distractions so that groups can focus fully on their Jesus-centered mission and ministry. Through proactive service, clear communication, and thoughtful preparation, the Ministry Host helps create an environment where spiritual growth can flourish.
• Greet and welcome guest group leaders with warmth and professionalism.
• Clearly guide leaders through the check-in process.
• Serve as the first line of response for group needs, concerns, and maintenance issues.
• Prepare meeting rooms prior to arrival and break down spaces after departure.
• Communicate effectively via radio and in person with a hospitable attitude.
• Work quickly and efficiently to meet group needs and tight turnaround times.
• Collaborate with the host team and other departments to ensure an excellent guest experience.
• Model and personify the camp’s vision of hospitality and warmth.
• Tasks include but are not limited to maintaining water stations, retrieving and providing supplies for guest retreats, collecting trash in public areas, enforcing weather-related protocols, etc.
