About the role

As the Senior Manager of Network Design and Optimisation at TooMuchWifi, you will play a crucial role in the strategic planning, design, and continuous improvement of our fixed-wireless network. You will lead a team of network engineers and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance network capacity, reliability, and quality of service.

What you will be doing

  • Network Planning and Strategy:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for network expansion, capacity enhancement, and technology upgrades.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define network architecture and long-term network development goals.
  • Network Design and Deployment:
  • Lead the design and implementation of fixed-wireless network infrastructure, including base stations, antennas, and customer premises equipment.
  • Ensure network designs meet scalability, reliability, and performance requirements.
  • Network Optimization:
  • Oversee network performance monitoring and analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement optimization strategies to enhance network efficiency and quality of service.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide solutions.
  • Spectrum Management:
  • Manage and optimise spectrum resources for maximum network capacity and performance.
  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with spectrum licensing requirements.
  • Capacity Planning:
  • Conduct capacity assessments and forecasting to accommodate the growing customer base and data demand.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to budget for network expansion projects.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Manage a team of network engineers and technicians, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture within the team.
  • Vendor and Technology Evaluation:
  • Evaluate new technologies, equipment, and vendors to support network enhancements and cost-effective solutions.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and manage vendor relationships.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
  • Maintain comprehensive network documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Minimum requirements (qualifications, skills and experience, other)

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in network design, optimization, and management, with a focus on fixed-wireless technologies.
  • Strong understanding of fixed-wireless networking protocols, standards, and emerging trends.
  • Proven leadership experience, including team management and project leadership.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
