Maintenance Technican (apprentice polymer processing)

The Maintenance Technician 3 will assist more experienced technicians and provide project and process support as required. 


Duties and Responsibilities: 


  • ·    Perform Roll changes and associated tasks


  • ·    Complete Die cleaning and maintenance


  • ·    Carry out Teflon changes and associated tasks


  • ·    Conduct process support/trouble shooting of process issues.


  • ·    Perform equipment set up and changeovers


  • ·    Assist more experienced Technicians in their daily tasks.


  • ·    Carry out scheduled PM checks


  • ·    Perform Injection mould changes

  • ·    Provide project and process support as required


  • ·    Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed


  • ·    Ensure environmental impact of all operations is considered


  • Be familiar with a variety of processes to allowing for working across a number of product lines.


  • ·    Perform other duties/ad hoc projects as required


  • · Conform to the requirements of the quality and environmental management system.


  • ·    Be available for shift work if required


Requirements


  • Have an aptitude and willingness to learn and gain experience.


  • Experience as a fitter, toolmaker, or electrician is desirable;


  • Relevant qualification in related discipline is desirable.


  • Strong team player, with the ability to work on own initiative.


  • Ability to work in a cross functional team
