Apprentice Painters & Decorators (Glasgow)

Story Decorating Group is looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Painter & Decorator to join our team on the prestigious new HMP Glasgow project.

This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience alongside skilled tradespeople while working towards an SVQ in Painting & Decorating (Construction) at SCQF Level 6. 

As an Apprentice Painter & Decorator, you'll learn how to:

• Prepare surfaces for decorating
• Apply paint and decorative finishes to a high standard
• Work safely on construction sites
• Deliver quality workmanship with attention to detail

We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable, eager to learn, and takes pride in their work.

• 2-year fixed-term apprenticeship contract
• Work towards an SVQ in Painting & Decorating (Construction) at SCQF Level 6
• Typically, 4 days per week on site and 1 day per week at college during term time
• 39 hours per week
• You must be able to travel independently to HMP Glasgow and college

• Statutory apprentice rate
• 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• Pension auto-enrolment (where eligible)
• PPE and uniform provided
• Tools and equipment provided
• Valuable experience on a major construction project
