Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our growing team in Riga.

As an Accountant at Paybis, you will play a key role in supporting the Group Chief Accountant with daily accounting tasks, financial reporting, and compliance activities. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and gain hands-on experience in the innovative cryptocurrency industry.

• Assist Group Chief Accountant in day-to-day activities
• Check, prepare and process accounting documents
• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Take part in periodic (monthly, quarterly and yearly) closing procedures
• Assist with other ad hoc accounting projects

• At least 1 years of experience in accounting
• Degree in accounting, finance, or economics (or you are on your way to it)
• Good understanding of financial accounting and the LR tax system
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel
• Strong written & verbal Latvian and English communication skills
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn
• Experience with 1C and Xero will be an advantage
