The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced high-performance coach who specialises in batting to join our coaching team and work with our elite players across our professional squads. Reporting to the Head Coach closely with our other coaches, this role will proactively support the development of the culture and environment of The Yorkshire County Cricket Club men’s team to implement the high-performance strategy, and contribute towards sustainable success aligned to Club’s vision, mission statement and values.


Reporting to the Head Coach, this role will involve:


  • Deliver squad, small group and one to one coaching sessions in accordance with the programme
  • Assist the preparation of winter and pre-season programmes
  • Assist in the development and communication of match day tactical leadership to all players including the sourcing of key information on opponents and players to develop team plans and strategies.
  • Support the development, implementation and monitoring of individual development programmes for players.
  • Proactively assist the creation of an environment in which players prepare and perform to the highest standard of professional cricket, both on-and-off the pitch

About You

We are looking for people who meet the below criteria:


  • Minimum ECB Level 3 coaching qualification or equivalent
  • Demonstrable success as a cricket coach at a professional domestic or international level
  • Demonstrable experience having developed elite level and aspiring elite level players over a sustained period of time
  • Demonstrable experience and/or commitment to delivering the principles of the Club’s EDI strategy
