Marionete is seeking the talents of a seasoned professional with experience in a Cloud Engineering Team focused on Private & Public Cloud Platform implementations.

Our project team are currently working on a Real Time innovation programme revolutionising am ecosystem with innovative products.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will work with our diverse Marionete technology teams. You will interact daily with developers, architects, and engineers along with other IT staff to oversee the quality of work and aid the project to reach key milestones, you will combine all your understanding of both Cloud Native engineering, coding and DevOps to benefit the project.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will have the remit to assist in build-out Cloud Native engineering capability for this innovative project, connectivity for infrastructure and platform Operational services across both the private and public cloud.

You will work as part of a brilliant team, support on the delivery of excellent services and innovative solutions on behalf of Marionete.

Assist in the development of secure and scalable automated solutions and provide hands-on technical engineering capability to support the implementation of brand-new Cloud Native service. Work towards implementing new and innovative patterns for technology, encompassing real-time, event-driven microservices, data mesh and service mesh solutions.

Approach the challenge with a problem-solving attitude and collaborative team spirit to identify technical debt/problems, potential improvements manage expectations and deliver outcomes sought by our leadership team.

• DevOps engineering

Strong experience in:

• Pipelines and CI/CD, GitOps concepts
• On Prem migrations to Cloud
• UNIX OSs
• Containerisation
• Helm 
• Cloud Native Foundation Landscape
• Kafka ecosystem (Brokers, Zookeeper, Schema Registry, Connectors)

Nice to have experience in:

• Java programming language
• Experience of Infrastructure for CNCF for private cloud and Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Open-source technology such as Kubernetes and Rancher
• Portworx  & Purestorage Virtualisation
• Security for these types of platforms
• Elasticsearch
• Airflow
