Position: Fellowship International Launch Intern

Department: EPIC and Onside

Reports to: Senior Leadership Team (SLT) of EPIC and Onside

Employment Status: TBD

Employment Length: 6 months-2 years from start date

Location: TBD

Remuneration: This is a mission’s position; compensation will depend on personal support raised outside of what the Senior Leadership Team agrees upon.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to work in a Christian environment and lead faith-based discussions
  • Must be committed to EPIC and Onside’s mission, vision and values
  • Must agree with FI’s mission and vision
  • Must have experience working with EPIC and Onside, or approved equivalent
  • Must exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills (with parents, staff and participants)
  • Must exhibit strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Must have the ability to lead, model, disciple, and sustain a team of volunteers
  • Must have completed grade 12 or beyond
  • Must have own reliable transportation to be present at different locations around the region for weekly programs
  • Familiarity with the program and the locations are a benefit

Responsibilities

  • Provide and demonstrate excellence, creativity, and able to add something special to all EPIC and Onside activities.
  • Active, positive participation in the community and in staff activities
  • In conjunction with the SLT:
  • the employee will implement programs and ensure that activities are running and functioning in an effective, focused manner
  • the employee will supervise all participants (players, families, staff and volunteers) during all activities, ensuring their health and safety
  • take on the administrative aspects of programming
  • Be involved with the interview and hiring process for programs and summer camps, locally and across the whole organization
  • Will be tasked to develop lead Team Talk associated with program using Catalyzing Movement (CM)
  • The employee may be responsible for leading volunteers through the disciple making process as part of the greater CM process from The Fellowship
  • Protect all confidential information of the players, campers, staff and parents
  • Along with the employer’s custodian, ensure all facilities are clean and tidy, including the gym, washrooms, kitchen, youth room, meeting rooms, auditorium, and etc.), and other such duties
  • Ensure a positive relationship and partnership between EPIC and Onside and church partners
  • Lead and be a positive role model, demonstrating servant leadership
