ROLE OVERVIEW:
The role is fundamentally to provide high quality advice and outcomes for clients. We have spent many years building the infrastructure of a business that allows our advisers to focus on client communication, meeting with clients new and existing and recording accurate high level meeting notes.
Within the role you will be expected to provide high-quality financial planning to our clients based on individual needs, applying technical knowledge in specialist areas such as SIPP, SSAS and discretionary investment management. You will be fully supported in all aspects of pension and investment administration by our teams of account executives. Whilst the successful candidate will be a qualified adviser, we will provide support and in role training to upskill and develop the individual to the point where dealing with ultra-high net worth clients is comfortable.
You will in all undertakings adhere to relevant FCA rules and regulations.
KEY TASKS:
Providing Financial Planning Advice
- Review existing clients’ circumstances and advise as appropriate.
- In all cases, obtain the required information to enable a full analysis of the clients’ needs and construct appropriate solutions to the principles of best advice.
- Create a detailed note for each meeting highlighting the client’s objectives and confirming action points moving forward.
Managing Client Portfolio
- Meet with client annually to maintain and build relationships as well as ensuring suitability of advice.
- Ensure the completion of meeting action points as supported by other departments:
- Typists will prepare dictated meeting notes for checking and all letters and reports, as well as copy typing.
Business promotion
- Explore opportunities and develop appropriate business relationships within a targeted geographical region.
- Establish contact with potential clients (solicitors and accountants)
Service and Compliance
- Ensure that the firm’s high standards of client care are met by demonstrating competence in all stages of the advisory process.
- Always operate within the Rules of the FCA as documented in the firm’s Performance Measures/Standards and Compliance Procedures.
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
You will report to the Partner with oversight for the financial planning team and you will not have any direct reports.
- The individual is authorised to provide advice in respect of all products/business areas available via the firm.
- The individual will be responsible for the financial advice they provide
- It is the responsibility of the individual to ensure that the work they undertake complies with legal, financial services, data protection and pension legislation.
- The individual will undertake a training programme and/or additional developmental activities, as discussed and agreed with the Partners.
- The individual will be supervised by one or more of the Partners.
- You will not be appointed as a pension transfer specialist.
