We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and support our growth in a newly created role. The Junior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the oversight of manufacture of control systems; implementing efficiencies and improving processes.

SUMMARY OF ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

The role will involve:

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes with a focus on improving quality, cost and efficiency
  • Design and install improved production techniques / methodologies / equipment
  • Organise and manage manufacturing workflows and resources
  • Optimise facility layouts, assembly locations and process flow
  • Resolve issues and delays in production
  • Liaise with hardware Engineers to ensure panels are designed for manufacture / assembly
  • Actively identify potential cost saving opportunities while maximising quality
  • Support the training of new and existing staff on new processes
  • Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental policies
  • Upgrade systems and processes with new technology
  • Implement production tools i.e. work instructions, build tracking metrics etc.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline / productionise bespoke panel builds

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

You will have: 

  • Qualification in engineering, preferably in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Commitment to health and safety standards
  • Excellent communicator
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
