This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Media Executive to join a leading Animal Feed manufacturing business on a fixed term contract to cover a 12-month maternity leave.


You will work 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

Main Purpose

We are looking for a skilled, creative, and driven social media executive to build and execute social media strategy through competitive and audience research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification. The successful candidate will be on a temporary contract to cover a 12-month maternity leave.



Key Tasks and Responsibilities


  • Plan, implement and monitor the company's Social Media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve Marketing efforts and increase sales
  • Execute campaigns (organic and paid) from start to finish, including planning, strategy, coordination, content creation, execution, post event reporting and analysis
  • Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms working with internal stakeholders.
  • Optimise company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the company’s social content
  • Define most important social media KPIs
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Generate, publish and share daily content to build meaningful connections
  • Moderate all user-generated content for each community
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analysing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
  • Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network




Personal Specification

Essential:

  • Proven working experience in social media marketing and/or digital media
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices
  • Excellent consulting, writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research
  • Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO
  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
  • Positive attitude, detail and customer orientated with good multitasking and organisational ability
  • BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field
  • Fluency in English



Preferred:

  • Editing (photo/video/text) skills
  • Farming and Agricultural knowledge
  • Full UK driving license
