JOB PURPOSE

·       Provide Excellence in Customer Service for the retail helpdesk

·       Deliver effective and consistent Retail support to our Contract Manager Business partners

·       Implement the Retail Pricing Strategy 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsibility for support for our Contract managers and supporting the Retail scanning helpdesk
  • Drive retail sales growth and Contract manager margin through effective price and range implementation & margin analysis
  • Providing timely and accurate query resolution to minimise product of sale times
  • Support the day-to-day running of all Head offices & Systems
  • Set up of Promotions for the above , test scanning all using inhouse Test Tills
  • Maintain Central Billing Files with correct department Structure
  • Support and maintain margins across all MFG brands
  • Work closely with our Wholesalers to ensure all lines are set up correctly
  • Support the Head of Pricing, Systems & Communications Manager
  • Provide Cover for the Department when required.

This is an office based position however from time to time the role will involve travel. Duties will require some nights away from home.

Close liaison and working with Operations Team /Contract Managers and the Trading team

Ensure working within defined DDA and MFG working practices and policies

Working with IT provider and Wholesaler to ensure Pricing & Promotions are correct

To operate effectively and efficiently and achieve given objectives within given time deadlines.

 

To have positive productive working relationships with all relevant Executives, Directors and Third Party suppliers/contractors, Regional and Area Retail Managers.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • A good understanding of the MFG business model.
  • Experience of working in both the forecourt and retail sectors.
  • Experience of project management and head office support functions
  • IT skills and excel knowledge
  • General commercial awareness.
  • High self-motivation and discipline, strong work ethics and ability to prioritise duties.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to influence and engage.
  • A good communicator with all audiences and levels.
  • Highly Analytical – able to analyse & manipulate high volumes of data

  • Expertise in Excel to: conduct detailed analysis of data / draw conclusions / prepare and deliver summary reporting enabling decisions to be made
  • Understands range architecture /pricing model appropriate ranging
  • Understanding of retail bar-code & scanning systems and experience in working in a helpdesk environment would be beneficial
