Mid-Level Software Engineer (all genders welcome)

• To support the team to translate business requirements from the stakeholders into codes for the real-money gaming, using Java and Vert.X on AWS.

• Collaborate & give support during the software production with Nomad, Consul, Grafana, and Prometheus.

• Integrate Third-Party providers and services into a leading Sportsbook product.

• Work with a transactional system for Sportsbetting and Casino that powers one of the largest european Markets.

• Work in a small team of engineers to deliver business requirements.

• Contribute to open-source software libraries.

• University degree or equivalent in the field of Computer Science, Programming, Mathematics or Physics is a plus.

• 3+ to 7 years of professional experience in hands-on coding.

• Fluency in English is mandatory (German is an advantage)

• Solid experiences in Java (or a similar language) with a good understanding of reactive, event-based programming.

• Experience with service protocols like REST and gRPC.

• Experience with Message Brokers such as Kafka or JMS.

• Desirable high level of expertise in rxJava, Vert.X, resilient microservice architecture, Linux Server, Docker and related technologies for running applications on AWS or equivalents.

• Knowledge of scripting languages or provisioning tooling in the context of operating backend services in a cloud environment is a plus.

• Open to learn about implementing microservice based systems in a cloud environment is a plus.

• Competitive annual base salary range starting from €53.000,- up to €78.000,- adjustable to your level of experiences

• Please note: this is a Vienna based role. Working permit for Austria is required in advance. This is not a remote job.
