YOUR ROLE IN THE COMPANY

We are searching for an experienced IT infrastructure manager with excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills. 

 

As the IT Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of a full range of IT infrastructure - from daily communication with the outsourced IT support company to the provision of IT systems solutions and website servers visited by at least 100,000 people per day. You will develop new processes and solutions to enhance the company's IT infrastructure quality and productivity, as well as analyze and refine the existing ones.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing all server and hosting related matters
  • Scheduling and maintaining system-related tasks across teams (content freeze, website migration, etc.)
  • Maintaining, buying new domains
  • Providing backup solutions to secure our websites
  • Arranging and scheduling tasks with Senior and Junior WordPress developers
  • Managing and prioritizing the workflow of our outsourced system administration partners and outsourced designers
  • Planning and launching new projects (websites)
  • Developing and implementing infrastructure-related policies and procedures in the company
  • Managing the existing software and hardware solutions in the company, coming up with new ideas on how to improve and automate our work environment
  • Managing service/software licenses and accounts for business needs

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Computer engineering or related field, or relevant experience in previously mentioned fields 
  • Experience in working with WordPress applications
  • Basic knowledge of PHP and MySQL
  • Experience in managing and maintaining licenses, domains, servers, storage, and security technologies 
  • Knowledge of Git/Bitbucket 
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms
  • Experience with Linux/ Unix web server configuration and maintenance 
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting systems
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to independently organize and prioritize your work
  • Proven experience in strategic planning with an ability to make business recommendations
  • Team-player attitude

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • An office in the center of Riga or Valmiera

  • Full-time job (40 hours/week) with a salary 2800 - 3600 EUR/gross
