We are leading the way in distributed cloud identity products and solutions. We provide our customers with bespoke external Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions based on Microsoft Azure Active Directory B2C. We are incredibly proud to be the first to produce a distributed identity solution offering it commercially in the UK. In partnership with industry leaders such as Microsoft, the expertise of our talented and specialist team has enabled us to develop new technologies to solve complex business problems, secure our clients’ customer data, and streamline their digital services.

 

We currently have a team of 50 employees based around the UK. Although we have a fantastic office and great facilities located centrally in Edinburgh, a number of our people work remotely.

Due to expansion, we are looking to hire a Business Development Manager who will focus on the Finance sector, where they have an existing presence and reference points.

Requirements

Your role:  

 

We are looking for an ambitious and determined Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele in the finance sector. You will be at the front of the company and will have the dedication to contribute to and apply an effective business development and sales strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients and strategic partners.

 

Reporting to the CEO, this person will drive new business development in their own vertical. As a business development manager, you will be selling bespoke consultancy to clients across multiple sectors. You will focus on building new relationships, contribute to sales strategy and processes, and help to develop the commercial team.

 

You will receive training and support to help you understand the technology, the market, competitors, partners, frameworks and internal processes. Once you have established your pipeline, your annual target will be £500k in year 1, £1m in year 2, and £2m in year 3, in new business sales. You will have support from a marketing team and access to industry experts.

 

Other areas you will be responsible for are;

 

  • New business development activity
  • Driving and coordinating proposals, bids and negotiations to successful outcomes
  • Managing and maximising the potential of account
  •  Identifying and developing relationships with partners, industry bodies and prospects
  • Working closely with marketing, you will help deliver sector-specific campaigns and attend events
  •  Condatis is viewed as a team of highly credible experts by prospective clients, so you will develop an in-depth understanding of the products and services
  •  You will contribute to the sales strategy and development of the process
  •  Working in a remote team, you will occasionally attend meetings in the Edinburgh office

 

How will you spend your time?

  • Driving a business development strategy that focuses on financial gain and customer satisfaction, feeding into the company sales intake forecast and delivering targets for the overall business plan
  • Build, develop and grow a viable and prospective client database, progressing these from leads to opportunities and secure order wins
  • Conduct research to identify new sector-specific markets, customer needs and partner engagements
  • Organise and attend business meetings with current and prospective clients
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to company policies, legal frameworks and guidelines
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing to support new marketing campaigns and with internal project development teams to deliver a high-quality customer experience
  • Attend and follow up on marketing activities, seminars, exhibitions and events
  • Comply with Information Governance requirements

 

Does this sound like you?  

  • You have experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role in a software consultancy or software product sales organisation
  • You can demonstrate a consistent sales track record developing new business
  • You have experience selling solutions to CIO's and Solutions Architects or other IT Leaders within the Finance sector
  • Ideally, you will have used Dynamics CRM
  • You use a structured sales process and have knowledge of various of sales methodologies
  • You can develop market knowledge in a complex and highly technical sector
  • You have the desire and ability to contribute to sales strategy and process
  • An active listener, you work with empathy and respect and value collaboration
  • Confident generating leads and converting these to qualified meetings, you will network effectively, online, at virtual and physical conferences and over the phone
  • Establishing rapport comes naturally to you, and you build relationships with ease
  • Disciplined and self-motivated, you strive to achieve goals
  • You have excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • You are a self-learner with a technical aptitude and interest in digital identity or similar
  • You can work collaboratively with marketing to produce collateral for, events etc.


You have the right to work in the UK. IAM is our speciality and our successful team members will be required to pass BPSS and UKSV SC screening (for some client projects), which would be arranged during the induction period.

We have people that are based throughout the UK. For this role, we are looking for a hybrid working environment where you are based comfortably at home (with £150 towards your home office for desk/chair) and a desk at the Edinburgh office. We also run monthly Townhalls and on a quarterly basis we invite everyone to get together in the office, or at a central venue! You will be using our equipment which we will ship out to you and if an extra screen (or 2!) would come in handy then let us know.
