BDO’s Risk and Independence team is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of the firm’s compliance with local and global independence, quality, legal and other compliance matters.


We are currently seeking a team member to join our dynamic team of professionals within the Risk and Independence function. As an integral part of the team, this individual will be managing the firm’s independence and compliance processes and become a technical subject matter expert in consulting with, and providing guidance to, our service line professionals on independence matters.


This individual will also serve as a role model by promoting and demonstrating our commitment to quality and risk management policies and processes within the firm.


Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of our business and the different service offerings
  • Understanding the key compliance requirements of BDO in Thailand inlcuding
  • Accreditation requirements
  • Privacy/PDPA
  • Independence
  • Contract/NDA review
  • Supplier onboarding
  • Subcontractor
  • Other regulations such as Labor Law
  • Assist our teams to evaluate and ensure the above compliance requirements
  • Conducting compliance & risk assessments and reviews
  • Assist team with administrative tasks and project management; prepare report and others as assigned by manager and Partners
  • Delivering training to people on Risk and Compliance matters
  • Planning and organizing own work and keep others informed of status and activities
  •  Ensuring timely delivery of work product
  •  Supporting the compliance awareness-raising activities


Qualifications

To qualify for the role you must have:


  • Bachelor’s degree preferably with some exposure to legal and accounting regulations
  • Preferably 3-7 year of working experiences
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken
  • Ideally, you will also be:
  • Confident, Self-driven, flexible and result oriented individual
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skill and work well as a supportive team player, also able to work individually with less supervision where necessary
  • Willing to learn and apply new standards
  • Possess positive and constructive attitude
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to details
  • Should be able to work under pressure and prioritize work accordingly
