Barrhead Travel, a leading travel agency in the UK, is currently seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Foreign Exchange Consultant to join our team on a temporary contract.
Interact with customers in person at our Foreign Exchange Bureau, delivering excellent service while handling their foreign currency needs.
Stay informed about the latest daily exchange rates, monitoring local competition to ensure competitive offerings.
Process large cash transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Achieve sales targets by proactively promoting additional travel-related products and services.
Monitor and manage stock levels of foreign currency, ensuring availability to meet customer demands.
Conduct precise cash reconciliations and adhere to banking procedures in line with company policies.
Previous experience in customer service and cash handling is essential.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and numerical proficiency.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Proven ability to achieve sales targets and provide outstanding customer service.
Familiarity with foreign exchange markets and knowledge of daily exchange rates.
Confidence in reconciling cash accurately and following company banking policies.
