Privacy policy for job applicants

 

Introduction

Elliptic Laboratories ASA is the data processor for the personal data we register and process about you on the basis of your application with us.

 

This privacy policy aims to inform you of what personal data we process, how the information is processed and what rights you have in accordance to this.

 

The personal data we process and the purpose of this

In conjunction with your application with us we will process a variety of your personal information. Some of these we will attain directly from you, while others will be collected from third parties. More information on this can be found below.

 

Our systems register name, age, gender, home address, e-mail and phone number. This data is obtained from you.

 

We also process data from your application and CV. The same applies to diplomas and certificates, along with statements from references and our own evaluations. Some of this information we receive from you, some is collected through references and some are a result of evaluations completed by us.

 

The purpose of processing your personal data is to conduct a thorough and correct hiring process, in an effort to offer the position to the best qualified job applicant.

The legal basis for processing your personal information

The most important legal basis to enable the processing of your personal data is the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) Article 6(1) point (b). Due to your application the regulation allows for the processing of your personal data in order to follow through with our hiring process before an agreement is reached.

 

If there is a reason to store the data for a longer period of time after concluded use in the hiring process, we will ask for your consent. Consent is a legal basis under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 Article 6 paragraph 1 point (b). You may withdraw consent at any time.

 

If the hiring process requires processing of special categories of personal data, the legal basis to do so is Regulation (EU) 2016/679 paragraph 2 point (b).

 

 

Where do we process your personal data?

All applications including CV, testmonials etc. are entered into Sage HR where we collect all application documents.

 

Your personal data is stored on servers located in Norway.

 

How long do we store the data?

The personal data of the applicants who are not hired is deleted following the completion of the hiring process, unless we receive consent to store the data over a longer period of time. The retention time will be specified should consent be given.

 

Your rights as an applicant

As a job applicant, you have rights according to the rules on privacy. If you have questions regarding your rights as an applicant, please contact our HR Manager (contact information at the bottom of the page).

 

You may ask for information regarding how we process your personal data, and you have the right to access the personal data we store about you. If you find a mistake in the personal data, you may require to have it corrected. You may also require that data is deleted, however this does not apply where we have legal grounds to retain it.

 

If you disagree with our processing of data, you may send a complaint to us. You also have the possibility to send a complaint to the Data Protection agency, however to clear up any possible errors, we urge you to contact us first.

 

Should you choose to exercise your rights and contact us regarding this, we will get back to you as soon as possible and within 30 days at the latest.
