Salary: £35,000.00 - £40,000.00
The Business Continuity Testing & Training Officer is responsible for disruptive events through the design, execution and evaluation of business continuity exercises. This role includes the development and delivery of training and awareness programmes to ensure staff understand their roles during incidents and can respond effectively.
1. Procedures
· Design Test Scenarios: Develop realistic and risk-relevant business continuity exercises (e.g., tabletop drills, full-scale simulations) tailored to current threats and operational needs.
· Execute Tests: Facilitate and manage the delivery of continuity tests, observing team responses and evaluating the effectiveness of recovery procedures.
· Analyse Results: Document test outcomes, identify gaps or weaknesses, and recommend improvements to enhance the practicality and effectiveness of business continuity plans.
· Training and Awareness: Create and deliver training materials to ensure key staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed for their role during disruptions.
· Ongoing Awareness Campaigns: Develop and implement annual business continuity awareness training for all staff to foster a culture of preparedness across the business.

· Work closely with your line manager and team members
· Collaborate with others, attending meetings as required
· Supporting team members and provide on-the-job training
· Provide cover for other staff as agreed by line manager

· Keep up to date with all written and verbal communications (i.e. emails/messages/calls)
· Ensure all records are maintained and kept up to date according to company policies and procedures

· Undertake all core learning and development programmes as required
· Undertake relevant learning according to agreed Personal Development Plan
