Job Brief

We are looking for an experienced AML Analyst to join Paybis’ Polish MLRO team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) programs, ensuring compliance with local and European regulations. You will be directly involved in safeguarding Paybis from financial crime by reviewing client accounts, conducting due diligence, and leading investigations into suspicious activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance Expertise and Advisory: Act as the subject matter expert on AML and compliance matters, providing guidance to the Paybis team in Poland and ensuring adherence to local and European regulations.
  • Client Due Diligence (CDD) and Risk Assessment: Conduct CDD, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), and ongoing due diligence for new and existing clients. Perform risk assessments, monitor transactions, and identify potential compliance risks.
  • Sanctions and PEP Screening: Review and complete sanctions and Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) screenings. Continuously monitor high-risk clients and address any flagged issues promptly.
  • Investigations and Reporting: Conduct investigations based on internal Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), and process external SARs using the relevant reporting systems. Handle post-SAR actions, liaising with authorities such as GIIF and law enforcement agencies.
  • Underwriting and Risk Analysis: Apply underwriting expertise to assess the risk of corporate customers. Perform in-depth evaluations to identify potential risks and connections to financial crimes.


Requirements

  • Experience: Over 2 years of experience in financial crime compliance, including working in an MLRO team, with proven ability to manage multiple compliance tasks.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFE) are a strong advantage.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Polish AML/CTF regulations, BSA and FinCEN Guidelines in the US, and European regulatory frameworks. Familiarity with Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulations is a plus.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is required to communicate effectively with local authorities and international teams.
  • Experience in Underwriting: Experience with conducting risk assessments in accordance with the established industry practice.
