Dublin Zoo is Ireland’s most popular family attraction and a world-class conservation organisation. We are now seeking a Digital Marketing & Website Executive to help us deliver exceptional digital experiences that inspire and engage our visitors, drive customer engagement, and support our mission to protect wildlife.

This role reports to the Marketing Manager and is based on-site at Dublin Zoo.

Overview

Dublin Zoo’s Commercial Department is experiencing an exciting period of significant change and modernisation, with a renewed focus on customer experience, digital transformation, and revenue growth to support our conservation mission. As part of this journey, the Digital Marketing & Website Executive will play a key role in elevating Dublin Zoo’s digital presence. This is a hands-on role combining digital marketing, digital advertising, data-driven insights, and web management. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, stakeholders, and external partners to deliver end-to-end digital campaigns, maintain our website and customer purchase journeys, and enhance the customer experience online across all digital touchpoints (before, during, and after your visit).

From visitor demographics to conversion tracking and ROI analysis, you’ll be at the heart of helping Dublin Zoo make informed, insight-led decisions to grow its digital impact.

A high level of flexibility is required depending on the needs of the organisation during surges in demand for support, therefore the successful candidate will be required to work in a collaborative manner across the marketing team to assist in busy periods.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Digital Marketing & Advertising

  • Prepare business cases, plan, execute, and optimise digital marketing campaigns across paid search, social media, display, video, and other available channels.
  • Deliver digital advertising campaigns that meet audience and revenue goals.
  • Establish approach to leveraging remarketing as a strategy to re-engage potential visitors and members and execute in a hands-on manner.
  • Support Marketing Manager in the delivery of a re-designed approach to digital advertising for Dublin Zoo aligned to newly aligned KPIs and commercial activity and reporting on ROI of same Website, Data & Digital Experience Management
  • Design and build web pages, customer purchase journeys, and event landing pages in line with brand and UX best practices.
  • Develop campaign-specific landing pages with interactive or multimedia content to support marketing objectives.
  • Ensure all digital touchpoints deliver a seamless user experience, optimised for mobile and desktop users.
  • Use Google Analytics and other tools to monitor website traffic, visitor demographics, and on-site behaviour to support key UX improvements around visitor website experience
  • Translate analytics insights into actionable improvements to help drive data-driven decisions for newly devised segmented marketing strategies.
  • Coordinate with customer service and commercial teams to ensure content is accurate, accessible, and up to date.
  • Work closely with suppliers, stakeholders, developers, and digital agencies to guide key web modernisation projects, implementing important legislative, usability, and accessibility standards.
  • Work closely and cross-functionally with suppliers, stakeholders, developers, and digital agencies to support with collaborative activation of key campaigns to ensure consistent roll-out of key campaign assets digitally and on-site at Dublin Zoo.
  • Benchmarking against similar attractions to compare performance with that of others to identify areas for improvement and strategic opportunities.

Seasonal Campaign Support

  • Support the digital marketing execution for seasonal events such as Zoorassic Trail, Wild Lights, Halloween, etc.
  • Assist with publishing and promoting event pages, managing online customer purchase journeys, and supporting performance tracking. Content & Design Support
  • Creating, adapting and optimising core marketing assets into channel-specific visuals and content for digital campaigns across desktop and mobile platforms
  • Support the development of engaging, high-quality visual content—including graphics, banners, and videos—for use across email campaigns, landing pages, promotional materials, and social media, using design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite." 


Requirements

  • Digital Marketing Expertise: Paid advertising (Google Ads, social media), SEO/SEM, content marketing, and email marketing.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to interpret analytics to drive marketing strategy, audience segmentation, and improved UX.
  • Customer Journey & UX Awareness: Strong understanding of the digital customer journey and ability to improve conversion and engagement.
  • Content Creation & Storytelling: Capable of delivering clear, compelling messages across digital platforms.
  • Campaign Management: Experience managing end-to-end campaigns across multiple digital channels. • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled at working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
  • Adaptability & Learning Agility: Comfort working in a fast-changing environment with evolving tools and platforms.
  • Commercial Acumen: Understanding of how marketing supports revenue growth, customer loyalty, and public engagement.
  • Compliance & Accessibility: Awareness of GDPR, digital accessibility, and usability standards. • Flexibility & Resilience: Willingness to support events, campaigns, and project work on weekends, evenings, or bank holidays when needed.

 

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in a relevant digital marketing, digital advertising, or web management role.
  • Experience with Google Analytics (preferably GA4) and interpreting performance metrics.
  • Strong working knowledge of CMS platforms and digital tools.
  • Graphic design skills (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) – adapting core marketing assets into channel-specific visuals and content for digital campaigns across desktop and mobile platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to or lead digital modernisation and web development projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Desirable • Experience with e-commerce systems or online booking/ticketing platforms.
  • A passion for wildlife, conservation, and family attractions.
