Overall Purpose -


We are recruiting a new Planning Director to join our strategy team. As well as leading communications campaigns for our key clients, this role will help shape the future of our strategy team and agency offer.


We are looking for someone with at least 8 years of strategy experience within agencies, with a history of creatively strong advertising campaigns. Any past experience of direct response, ideally within the charity sector, is essential for this role.


Key Responsibilities -


Insight & Strategy:

  • Distil brand, campaigns and fundraising portfolios for growth, that inspire effective and interesting creative work,
  • Pursue innovation that will help our charity clients especially adapt to a changing marketplace and secure future growth,
  • Support our clients in strategic transformation, of their brand, campaigns and product portfolio,
  • Design new and interesting research processes for gathering and distilling insight, using qualitative and quantitative techniques


New Business Development:

  • Produce insights, and pitch decks that win new business for the agency, particularly new retainers and long-term projects
  • Produce proprietary thinking, research, blog posts and events that help the charity sector answer their big challenges and position GOOD as a thought leader
  • Help GOOD define it’s product and service offer, answering key problems for clients in the charity and commercial sector and opening up new income streams for the agency


Championing Effectivness:

  • Work alongside clients and colleagues to build a culture of marketing effectiveness and measurement
  • Turn successful work into effectiveness case studies that win awards, based on solid marketing theory and models,
  • Ability to analyse performance of fundraising portfolios and integrated campaigns, advising on their transformation for future growth


Client Development:

  • Ensure healthy client relationships, particularly with our key retained clients. Lead the management of client communications portfolios, including running quarterly and annual planning meetings.
  • Work with client services to identity key growth opportunities within existing clients, successfully selling in additional projects


Team and Agency Culture:

  • Contribute to the agency and team’s culture, sharing knowledge, inspiration and ideas that make GOOD a better, more effective place to work and help us have an even greater impact on society and the planet.

  • Strong fundraising and direct response experience

Salary Range

Pay range and compensation package -

Salary range between £70,000 to £80,000 depending on experience, plus benefits
