About Paybis

Paybis launched in 2014 with one goal: make crypto accessible using payment methods people already trust. Twelve years later, 6.9 million customers across 251 countries have used the platform, and $5.47 billion has moved through it. 2025 was our strongest year on record — $2 billion in volume, 266% year-on-year growth.

We are a regulated, profitable, bootstrapped company expanding our B2B presence across fintech and crypto globally. Events are not a brand exercise here — they are a primary lead generation channel, and we need a dedicated owner to build and run the programme properly.

About the Role

We are hiring a B2B Events Manager to own the Paybis event programme end-to-end — strategy, execution, and pipeline outcomes.

This is not an event coordinator role. We are not looking for someone to book venues and manage catering. We are looking for someone who can decide which 50+ events per year are worth attending, build owned formats from scratch, manage CEO and CMO logistics at Tier 1 conferences, and be accountable for ROI on every dollar spent.

Minimum ROI > 1 is the floor, not the target.

You will report directly to the CMO, work closely with Sales and BD, and have full ownership of the online and offline event programme — from Money20/20 to proprietary VIP dinners, partner roundtables, and a quarterly webinar series.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Owning the full B2B event calendar — sponsored conferences (Tier 1–2), owned formats (VIP dinners, roundtables, hackathons, meetups), and online events (quarterly webinar series)
  • Driving qualified lead generation at every event — lead capture, CRM entry in Pipedrive, qualification, and handoff to sales within 48 hours
  • Managing CEO and CMO logistics at flagship conferences — scheduling, briefing packs, account intelligence, post-event follow-up
  • Building and running the online events programme (webinar series) as a structured lead gen channel — platform selection included
  • Running pre-event outreach to target accounts to secure meetings before the event floor opens
  • Owning the events budget end-to-end — planning, vendor negotiation, spend tracking, ROI reporting to leadership
  • Providing sales with briefing packs and account intelligence before every major event
  • Tracking 5 KPI categories: lead volume and quality, event ROI, online programme growth, CEO/CMO meeting quality, and stakeholder satisfaction

What We Expect

Must-have

  • 5+ years in event management, with at least 2 years in fintech or crypto
  • Proven track record of driving qualified B2B leads from sponsored and owned events — with pipeline data to show for it
  • Full budget ownership experience — vendor negotiation, cost-per-lead analysis, ROI reporting to senior leadership
  • Experience managing CEO/CMO logistics at major industry conferences — scheduling, briefings, account intelligence
  • CRM discipline — Pipedrive preferred; lead capture, tagging, handoff workflows, pipeline reporting
  • Strong project management — multiple events running simultaneously across time zones
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Europe, the US, and internationally — this is non-negotiable
  • Excellent English — sponsor outreach, partner negotiation, executive briefings

Nice-to-have

  • Existing network in the fintech/crypto ecosystem — organisers, sponsors, key speakers
  • Experience with ABM applied to event strategy
  • Familiarity with Paybis's B2B ICP: PSPs, neobanks, iGaming operators, payroll platforms, crypto exchanges
  • Understanding of MiCA, VASP regulation, and the EU/UK regulatory landscape
  • Experience with marketing automation for post-event lead nurturing — HubSpot, Marketo, or similar

What Success Looks Like

30 days — Audit and orientation

  • Full audit of the existing event programme completed — formats, spend, lead quality, pipeline attribution
  • Key stakeholders met: CMO, CBDO, Sales, BD
  • 2026 event calendar reviewed and prioritisation framework proposed

90 days — Fully operational

  • Running events independently — pre-event outreach, on-site execution, 48h post-event follow-up
  • CRM pipeline workflow established and running without prompts
  • Online events programme (webinar series) launched or in active preparation

6 months — Delivering pipeline

  • Measurable pipeline contribution from events — MQL volume, SQL conversion, attributed revenue tracked per event
  • ROI > 1 demonstrated across the event mix
  • Owned event formats (roundtables, VIP dinners) delivered at least once

Interview Process

  1. Stage 1 — CMO interview (30 min): competency and strategy
  2. Stage 2 — Presentation task + CMO & CBDO interview (70 min): 10-slide presentation on event strategy
  3. Stage 3 — Head of HR (30 min): culture fit

Portfolio of past events with lead outcome data is required.
