The role:

We are searching for a talented microservices developer with practical experience. You may come from a product or professional services background and will be motivated to spread your wings and flex your technical muscle.


Microservices underpin Marionete’s architectural philosophy and is key to our deployment methodology. You would be joining an established team of technically adept individuals to work on challenging projects for some of the World’s best-known brands.

What you should have:

Technical Skills:

Circa 4 years as a Developer with proven technical experience in microservices.  



·      Micro-services architectures: Service Mesh preferable, but other frameworks and topologies accepted (Istio, Consul, Kong Mesh, gRPC, GraphQL, Kubernetes, Protobuf or relevant tooling);

·      Programming Languages: JAVA, Scala or Go (ideally more than one);

·      Proven experience on Event Streaming, Event Sourcing, CQRS, SEDA patterns, CommitLog;

·      Kafka, KStreams, KSQLDB;

·      Experience on Cloud Native; Istio, gRPC, GraphQL, Kubernetes, Protobuf or relevant tooling.



·      Spark, Delta-lake;

·      Computer Science or equivalent academic background;

·      Financial Services or similarly regulated environment experience;

·      Certification or experience in Agile methodologies such as SaFe, Scrum, Pair Programming, Kanban, Xtreme;

·      Cloud:GCP, AWS or Azure, preferably certified.

·      Modern Data architectures patterns: Data Fabric, Mesh, Virtualisation, Federation, Unification, Distributed and Decentralised architectures; API architecture preferable.

You may already be working in a highly technical environment and will have honed your skills over the last 4 years or more. You will be eager to develop your career technically and grow professionally.

Location: Lisbon or London, and you may be happy to work Worldwide when required.
