Description

MAC Clinical Research are seeking to appoint a part-time Archivist to join our dedicated Quality Assurance team. This is a great opportunity for an organised and efficient individual to work with a friendly and experienced QA team to ensure our clinical trials and company records are archived according to regulatory expectations.

 

The role would ideally suit those with clinical or healthcare administration experience and the Hiring Managers are looking for candidates that can commit 3 days per week during MAC’s core business hours - Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:30.

 

This role includes working from home and therefore we require you to have a set up at home that allows you to work comfortably. This includes an appropriate desk and chair (excl. IT equipment which we will provide), please confirm you are able to do this before proceeding with your application.

Overseeing the archiving of clinical trials and supporting data to ensure data security, integrity, accessibility and endurance

Requirements

  • Experience of working with paper and electronic records
  • Good filing skills
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good data entry skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe or other similar products.

 

SOME OF THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (including staff):

  • Managing an archive, according to regulatory requirements (eg Good Clinical/Manufacturing/Laboratory Practices, ISO17025), to ensure data security, integrity, accessibility and endurance.
  • Coordinating and facilitating archive submission and retrieval requests from all MAC sites/departments
  • Ensuring all data related to a studies is archived accordingly, including electronic data and metadata.
  • Keeping updated with relevant archiving regulations and communicating best practices accordingly.
  • Managing the timely upkeep of archiving documentation and maintaining accurate inventories.
  • Managing data destruction after defined retention time periods.
  • Inspecting the archive periodically to ensure fitness to use.
  •  Assisting QA staff in routine administrative tasks, as required.
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
