ROLE PURPOSE

As a Escalations Claims Advisor, you and your team will be responsible for the recovery of our losses including hire & repair costs, excess, pre-accident vehicle value, recovery & storage, loss of earnings.

 

Working closely with the Recoveries team, you’ll play a crucial role identifying claims for litigation and discussing with our client the options to progress the claim to settlement.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

·        Communicating with your client’s, the responsible party, their insurers, solicitors, and various other parties involved in the process.

 

·        Dealing with all aspects of the claim, including communicating and negotiating with the third party insurers and resolving liability based on the evidence of the claim.

·        Arrange the recovery of uninsured losses, and this encompasses, Hire & Repair costs, Excess, Pre-Accident Vehicle Value, Recovery & Storage, Loss of Earnings.

·        Utilising our case management system to follow up on any outstanding issues, such as witness reports/third party details.

·        Resolving liability, arranging the recovery and storage of the clients damaged vehicle, chasing updates from repairers and engineers.

·        This role will require you to work with deadlines and to problem solve, as well as using different channels of communication such as emails, phone calls and on occasion, letters. The right candidate should be customer focused, be empathetic and have excellent telephone and PC skills and training will be provided.

·        You will be required to be flexible and support other teams subject to the business needs.

·        To provide a general administrative service to your management team. To establish working relationships with your fellow team members and referrers alike.

·        To establish working relationships with your fellow team members, referrers and surprises alike.

·        Good communication skills across all levels are required, given you will be working predominately on the telephone with Insurers, Client’s, Solicitors and Repairers.

·        Ensuring all checks are completed as part of the preparation of the files awaiting Escalations .

·        Regular communication with external law firms ensuring we have regular updates as part of the Escalations process.

·        Other critical elements of this role include the ability to prioritise effectively as

well as to identify and champion business improvement opportunities, removing

developments alongside sharing best practice.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent telephone and PC skills.
  • Experience with recovering credit hire and other heads of claims
  • Credit Hire Litigation experience is essential
