General Operator
SUMMARY:
Production Operators will perform repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-produce disposable plastic medical products such as tubing sets, injection molded plastic parts, and radio frequency welded parts by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform assembly operations to assemble/fasten parts together adhering to specific job specifications as outlined in Device Master
- Records and/or Work Instructions. May use hand tools and other equipment designed for this purpose.
- Perform a variety of machine operations which may include loading & unloading parts from machines, pushing and pulling levers or buttons, trimming excess material, and traying and packaging the assemblies.
- Work on assigned production lines rotating across all work stations and be flexible to move to different production lines as requested.
- Meet quality requirements and established standard hourly production rates.
- Perform visual inspection of product to ensure compliance to quality standards, reporting any variances to Team Leads/Supervisors/QAs.
- Follow work rules and quality systems.
- Extend respect to employees and customers at all times.
- Be a good team player and strive to develop good work relationships with colleagues contributing to a positive working environment for all.
- Ensure environmental impact of all operations is considered in relation to waste management, recycling and energy.
- Comply with Harmac Environmental Health and Safety procedures.
- ·Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) of assigned work area.
- Conform to the requirements of the quality and environmental management systems.
- Additional ad hoc duties and projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Leaving Certificate or three month’s related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent hand eye coordination skills are required
- Problem solving and team working abilities
