Legal Assistant/Junior Lawyer

We are seeking a driven Legal Assistant/Junior Lawyer to join Paybis’ legal team and support our mission in the fast-evolving fintech and crypto sectors. This role is ideal for a professional with foundational legal experience who thrives in a dynamic environment. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, manage contracts, ensure compliance, and contribute to our growth with a proactive and ethical approach.

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, terms of service, and other policies.
• Conduct legal research on regulations, case law, and fintech/crypto industry standards.
• Prepare legal memos, correspondence, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with compliance, finance, and product teams to align legal efforts with business goals.
• Monitor regulatory changes and suggest proactive solutions to mitigate risks.
• Take initiative to manage legal tasks independently and maintain organized records.

• 2-3 years of legal experience, ideally in fintech, crypto, or technology sectors.
• Proficiency in legal research, contract drafting, and regulatory analysis.
• Fluent in English and Latvian (written and verbal); additional languages (e.g., Russian) are a plus.
• Experience in working with U.S. laws and handling cross-border legal matters is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of blockchain or cryptocurrency laws is an advantage.
