You’ll be the trusted data partner for Crossian leaders across Marketing, Growth, Finance, Supply Chain, and Product, turning complex business questions into razor-sharp analytical strategies that influence real decisions and real outcomes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Business Partnership & Insight Generation

  • Translate ambiguous business challenges into structured analytical problems, defining KPIs and success metrics.
  • Query, clean, and model data using SQL and Python from sources like Snowflake, BigQuery, and real-time event streams.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on key metrics (e.g., CAC, ROAS, AOV, inventory turnover, churn predictors).
  • Design and analyze experiments (A/B, multivariate), providing statistical power calculations, confidence intervals, and clear definitions of success for stakeholders.

Dashboarding & Self-Service Analytics

  • Develop real-time dashboards in tools like Amazon QuickSight, PowerBI to monitor funnel performance, campaign effectiveness, and operational SLAs.
  • Build semantic layers and reusable data marts to enable self-service analytics for non-technical teams.

Data Quality & Governance

  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to define data contracts and validation checks, ensuring trusted and up-to-date datasets.
  • Monitor data pipelines, implement anomaly detection, and manage alerting for metric drift or pipeline failures.

Advanced Analytics & Forecasting

  • Build predictive models and segmentation analyses to forecast demand, customer LTV, or marketing spend efficiency (optional for Intermediate; expected for Senior).
  • Synthesize findings into concise, actionable deliverables, presentations, memos, or dashboards that drive strategic decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Embed within Product, Marketing, and Operations sprints to integrate data-driven insights into feature development and rollouts.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to best practices in code review, analytical methodology, and documentation

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience:
  • Intermediate: 3+ years in data analytics or business intelligence.
  • Senior: 5+ years in data analytics or business intelligence in high-data-volume environments (e.g., tech, e-commerce, fintech).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced SQL proficiency (complex joins, window functions, query optimization).
  • Strong Python (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy) or R skills for data analysis and automation.
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, Power BI).
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing (star/snowflake schemas, ELT pipelines, orchestration).
  • Analytical Expertise: Proficiency in statistical testing, experimental design, and causal inference methodologies.
  • Communication: Ability to distill complex technical findings into clear, compelling recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Proven experience in cross-functional Agile teams, with familiarity in sprint ceremonies and iterative delivery.
  • Language:  Fluency in English (written and verbal).
  • Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics platforms (e.g., GA4, Facebook Ads API, AppsFlyer).
  • Experience with big data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Databricks, Flink) or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Athena).
  • Knowledge of machine learning workflows and MLOps practices.
  • Proficiency with Agile tools (e.g., GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Slack) for transparent, asynchronous collaboration.
