We are looking for Developers/ Consultants to join our expanding Saker Simulations team which can be based at any of our locations (Sheffield, Glasgow, Warrington, Alcester, Aberdeen) with hybrid working.

Experts in simulation services, Saker Solutions help their customers to test and confirm that major investment in projects, facilities and operational changes can be delivered successfully. Formed in 2003 by a group of experts in the simulation sector, Saker have been at the forefront of simulation technology ever since: providing consultation; building and running simulation models; and offering ongoing training and support services for a variety of simulation products including Flexsim and Simul8. In late 2020, Saker Solutions joined forces with one of the largest systems integrators in the UK, ITI Operations Limited.

After the initial training period the role will involve;

• Working alone and as part of a team, liaising with Clients in a very customer focused organisation.
• Development of Software applications using Sakers Framework methodology.
• Responsibility for the management of projects.
• Interpreting business requirements and ensuring developed applications fulfil the requirements.
• Working with other team members to ensure the development meet quality objectives.
• Identifying and exploring innovative solutions in new application areas.

We are looking for someone with:

• At least a 2:1 degree in a highly numerate degree (or expect to receive)
• An MSc is preferable but not essential – ideally in Maths, Operational Research, Statistics or Computer Science
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• The ability to communicate complex information
