About Badger Group  

Badger Group is a not-for-profit social enterprise and healthcare co-operative that has been providing NHS GP out-of-hours and urgent primary care services across Birmingham and Solihull since 1996. Founded by local doctors to improve out-of-hours provision, Badger now supports a patient population of over 1.6 million, with GP members across 60+ practices.

Our services include GP out-of-hours care, 24/7 remote clinical assessment, urgent primary care, and message handling. We also run the Urgent Treatment Centres at Solihull and Erdington Stockland Green, with operations based at Bourne Road in Aston and head offices at Glover Street near Birmingham city centre.

The Badger Group consists of Badger Medical Ltd, Badger Healthcare Ltd and Sett Support Partnership plc, with an annual turnover of £13 million. Our structure spans Board Leadership, Clinical, Finance, Workforce & HR, Quality & Performance, Operations, IT, and Business Development.

In March 2024, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) rated us ‘Outstanding’, recognising our strong reputation for excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.
