Job Mission: The Legal Officer provides expert legal advice, support, and services to ensure that the company operates within the legal framework governing its operations. The role primarily focuses on managing legal risks, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and representing the company in legal matters. The Legal Counsel is responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and opinions to management and departments on issues impacting the company’s operations. Work together with group legal department colleagues and group management.
- Monitor changes in the law and promptly inform management and group colleagues of any relevant developments, ensuring awareness is raised as early as reasonably possible under the circumstances, particularly before the final adoption of such changes and their entry into force.
- Analyse and mitigate legal risks associated with the company’s business activities and transactions.
- Monitor, analyse, and advise on regulatory developments and legislative changes relevant to the company.
- Act as the company’s representative in legal proceedings, negotiations, and dispute resolutions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company’s interests.
- Ensure that all client and vendor contracts are legally compliant and aligned with the company’s policies.
- Support the development and maintenance of corporate governance practices.
- Advise on shareholder and board-related matters, including drafting resolutions and meeting minutes.
- Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure that all legal obligations are met and aligned with compliance policies.
- Provide support in addressing compliance issues that require legal interpretation or input.
- Ensure that legal processes and documentation adhere to internal compliance standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Manage and oversee litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution processes.
- Liaise with external legal counsel and monitor their performance and alignment with the company’s goals.
- Prepare legal reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management in alignment with the role’s scope.
- Liaise with the Employer’s external legal advisors and partners.
- Request the manager to provide timely and accurate job assignments and to secure necessary resources for executions of job responsibilities and tasks.

- Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
