We are searching energetic Regional Head of Debt Collection to join our ExpressCredit Group team, reporting directly to the Group Head of Debt Collection.


Job Mission: To to lead debt collections teams across four ExpressCredit markets — Namibia, Zambia, Botswana, and Lesotho — by optimizing performance through strategic guidance, motivation, and the implementation of tailored collection strategies within diverse regulatory landscapes.   


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead debt collections teams providing guidance and motivation.
  • Implement and monitor comprehensive targets and KPI’s, making adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute tailored debt collection strategies aligning with each country's regulatory landscape in assigned region.
  • Oversee full debt recovery process, from early collections to legal action.
  •  Analyse existing debt collections workflows, identifying opportunities for automation and increased efficiency.
  • On regular basis analyze delinquent accounts, identify trends, and propose measures (including changes in underwriting rules) to minimize defaults while maximizing recovery rates.
  • Ensure debt collections practices comply to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams to streamline processes, mitigate risks, and enhance overall loan portfolio performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvements and professionalism.
  • Ownership of regional debt collection budget.

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of debt collection experience.
  • Proactive "getting things done" mindset.
  • Knowledge of debt collection practices, legal frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in streamlining and improving existing processes.
  • Demonstrates proven leadership skills, successfully managing and motivating teams to achieve targets and objectives.
  • Ability and availability to travel to regional offices.
  • Demonstrates communication and relationship-building skills in diverse cross-cultural environments.
  • Experience managing international team across various geographies is considered as advantage.
  • Driving license required.
  • Valid Police Clearance Certificate.
