Learning and Development Officer

The Learning and Development Officer is responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing training and professional development programs that enhance employee performance, customer service delivery, and organizational growth within the credit union. The role supports staff development initiatives aligned with the credit union’s strategic goals and member service standards.

The incumbent shall be required to:

• Administer the Credit Union’s Learning and Development Strategy
• Perform as the primary administrator of the Credit Union’s Learning Management System.
• Identify training and development needs through performance reviews, departmental consultations, and organizational assessments.
• Design, coordinate, and facilitate training programmes, workshops, seminars, and e-learning initiatives.
• Develop onboarding and orientation programmes for new employees.
• Prepare annual training calendars, performance improvement, and learning plans.
• Prepare training and development media.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes using feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
• Assist with succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
• Coordinate career development and coaching programmes.
• Maintain training records, attendance reports, and development databases.
• Oversee relationships with external training providers and institutions.
• Coordinate logistics for internal and external training sessions.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Education, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or a related field is essential.
• Professional certifications in Learning & Development, Human Resources Management or a related field are an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems
