Mechanical Engineer

Our team is composed of passionate individuals dedicated to engineering excellence and pushing the limits of what's possible. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer at Loft Dynamics, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of critical components and subassemblies for our state-of-the-art simulators and peripherals. You'll harness your CAD expertise to turn concepts into reality, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance. You'll also engage in stress analysis to validate your designs, produce detailed technical drawings, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve our goals.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Specification and selection of standard components
  • Designing or revising components and assemblies with our CAD and PLM software
  • Design verification through stress analysis
  • Creation of technical drawings and assembly instructions
  • Support & collaboration with the production team and other engineering departments

YOUR BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Ideally 2-3 years of work experience as a Mechanical Engineer
  • Solid 3D CAD system skills with some basic FEA knowhow
  • Basic knowhow of PLM software and MS Office
  • Very good communication skills in German (min. B2 level) and preferably English as well
  • High flexibility, reliability
  • Structured work approach that doesn’t need much supervision
  • Work permit for Switzerland
  • Motivated team player

A PLUS WOULD BE:

  • Passion for Aviation or even some experience
  • Knowhow of manufacturing processes and machining
